Bromazolam is a benzodiazepine derivative. It is structurally similar to other benzodiazepines such as alprazolam (Xanax) and diazepam (Valium), but it has not been approved for medical use in any country.
Bromazolam is believed to work by enhancing the activity of a neurotransmitter called gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which can reduce anxiety, promote relaxation, and induce sleep. It may also have muscle relaxant properties.
